In my opinion, in "Reno Garbini: A Man In Full," Mallory Monroe mounted her prize stallion, rode into town, planted her flag, and seemed to sneer "how you like me now?!"...Well Ms. Monroe, I have to admit, I loved every single moment of this novel.This novel was classic Reno. Wherever Reno goes, we know trouble will soon follow. There are always going to be exes, and other people looking to settle a score or to take Reno down. As usual, Reno is a man who puts his family's well being first and in this novel, he makes that apparent.
Ms. Monroe's sense of humor was on full display from the inception of this novel until the conclusion. I laugh so hard, I almost dropped my kindle. Trina Gabrini aka Tree has come a long way since the early days and has become a real "stand by your man" kind of wife. Jimmy Mack has had more to deal with than any kid his age, but not every kid is a Gabrini; his knocks along the way are all part of his maturation process that will eventually strengthen him as he takes his father's place.
This book is a must read, some of the dialogue will have you laughing for days!

Mallory you have again outdone yourself! The plot twists that you come up with are never boring and always gripping. I love the different ways that you come up with to torture or let's say punish people, you are just so creative in making your characters (mainly Reno) deal with a variety of situations, while keeping them true to their character's beliefs and of course letting their love for each other go through the ups and downs of marriage. As usual I can't wait for the next installments of Reno & Tree, as well as Tommy & Grace and Sal & Gemma.
I read a lot of books, but I must say that I constantly check to see if you have released anything new. Since I've read all of your stories I need to pace myself better and continue to be patient as you weave your magic throughout the books, because in the end it is sure worth the wait!
I am a serial cheater. I download the samples and read them until I find one with better reviews. This is working for me since most of the stories set with a mob background are interchangeable. This series has been a fun sample read and I figured by number nine the author would have gotten all the kinks out. Ms. Monroe has an easy style and has gotten comfortable with her characters. Reno is the tough, sensitive lover with Trina his tough, sensitive mate. The entire story in based on his need for her to balance his hectic workaholic lifestyle. I don't believe in the whole soulmate theory but it is fun to read anyway.
I am looking forward to watching the development of Jimmie to the business and the Cain & Abel relationship he is destined to have with his younger brother. Reno's crazy sister Fran needs to seek professional help. I will be working on the other Gabrini samples until the next episode. I think I want to skip the next book. Reno overly disturbed could make me cry.
This is my first review ever even though I have read all of the books. I just felt that I had to finally applaud Ms. Monroe for her creativity. This series never gets boring or die out like most do with 8 books!. I love seeing Dommi get older. He is still a child and I like how Ms. Monroe keeps his innocence. It's so cute. I really like how Jimmy and Reno's relationship progresses and seems to get stronger through everything that they have been through. I also love how Jimmy never waivers from Trina being his mother even though she is not his biological mom. That broad was psycho! It amazes me how far some people will go to get revenge on Reno!
Poor Jimmy. I hope Ms. Monroe that you read these... I think it would be good for Jimmy to find a young girl (more importantly his age), possibly in college. I'm sure Reno would love that. A tourist that is not use to the flashy life and doesn't even know about the Gabrinis. Someone down to earth that is not so impressed with money, with a Christian background. I think that would work out great for Jimmy. He needs someone that can help him better himself, to become his own person instead of just Reno's kid. I would love to see that! He deserves some love.
P.S. fantastic seeing Fran and Trina getting along as well!
While browsing for new reads, I get super super crazy squealing when I see this Franchise name. There is never a warning, no fanfare, it's just there. Guess I am in the wrong places to get early alert when Ms. Monroe will be dropping a book. At any rate, I loved this book, as I do all of them. The only thing I really wanna say about this book. Please, please, please (one more) please Ms. Monroe help James ("Jimmy Mack") Gabrini find some sort of fulfillment for his peace of mind and soul. You just know whenever he is in the storyline, it is not gonna turn out well. Want that black cloud to go away from him. Don't want him to really have a love interest, want him to become who he is. Jimmy is faithful and loyal to his parents and brother, above all his father. I just finished the book with a long sigh. There was more, much more, juicy delectable Reno "Sexy Dangerous Beast" Gabrini and Trina more, but the pain of this man-child is palpable for me.
I cannot get enough of Reno,Trina and their boys (love her mom and dad too). I enjoyed reading the latest book. I like that Trina is not backing down to Reno. I like the chemistry between Reno and Jimmy and how they are compassionate men who show emotion towards each other. As this series progresses I like the vulnerability you see in each of them. To show how each of them is susceptible to physical or emotional injury and how they are open to censure or criticism when faced with difficult decisions. That is why I like this series. These characters are real, flawed, emotional and you can relate to them as you read. Good job and can't wait to read the next book so until then.......I'll stalk your site for the next update (LOL)
